Classic Music Recreations

Recreations of the Cave, Title, and Credits themes from 2008's Spelunky Classic! These particular tracks were composed by George Buzinkai and have helped Spelunky leave a lasting impact on players.

After many months of work dissecting the music, these recreations matched the originals near-perfectly. It feels great to hear these tracks in high quality without any looping issues, but I also think it's a huge milestone in preserving these incredible compositions.

Cave was the first recreation I started. The middle section was the hardest to transcribe as the low pulse wave gets mixed in with the bass.

The Title recreation was finalized pretty quickly once I found a copy of the original string sample.

This recreation comes very close to the original, though unfortunately it doesn't have a clean sample of the timpani.
